The complete WantedDesign experience

As we are preparing to welcome you for the fourth edition of WantedDesign, we wanted to share with you all of the details and services that we are offering, thanks to our partners, to facilitate and enjoy at its best your experience during the visit.

For transportation, we’re thrilled to have partnered with the on-demand transportation service, Uber, to provide new Uber users $25 off one trip to or from WantedDesign and existing users 10% off.

To accommodate our very busy VIP visitors, we also are thrilled to partner with Alcantara and Audi Manhattan to offer a special car service. Plus, to make sure you don’t miss the visit to Industry City, a free shuttle bus will be available between Chelsea and Brooklyn throughout the weekend.

As we know, you will be spending a large part of your day meeting talented personalities from the design industry, and discovering and participating in our various programs. We hope you will enjoy an excellent cup of coffee or tea from La Colombe or Kusmi Tea in the DWR café. Have some rest at our convivial Extremis table for your lunch at the restaurant. If you feel you want to walk a block away to enjoy a lunch or a drink at the Hotel Americano, mention WantedDesign when booking dining reservations, then again to your waiter in order to redeem a 10% discount.

The Shop

Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution is the only museum in the nation devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. It is the goal of The Shop to create a true design destination for its patrons, offering a selection of works by established and emerging designers that will surprise, delight and inspire. For WantedDesign, the Shop at Cooper-Hewitt will present a selection of design classics, along with new, exclusive pieces made just for The Shop, including a marble side table by Joe Doucet and a series of ceramics by Ben Medansky.
