Panel Discussion: Design Transforms: Humberto Campana and 10 years of Instituto Campana, moderated by Nick Rhodes, Central Saint Martins, UAL
Humberto Campana will present Instituto Campana, sharing 10 years of Instituto Campana initiatives and exploring design and public engagement. Followed by a panel session on the lessons can we learn about design’s capacity to transform people, places and things.
Panellists: Humberto Campana, Christina De León, Carolina Rubio-MacWright and Central Saint Martins’ Duncan Hooson. Christina De León is the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum’s Associate Curator of Latino Design and Carolina is an artist and immigration lawyer activist fighting for immigrant and humanitarian rights, who uses ceramic making as a means of mixing unlikely communities together. Duncan Hooson is co-director of Clayground Collective, an arts educational organisation committed to public engagement and skills sharing around ceramics.

Shibori Dyeing with Indigo— Explore Pattern
Learn the traditional Japanese art of Shibori dyeing and create your own pattern on fabric with textile designer Barrie Cohen of Anthemia. Free event. Children must be over the age of 5 to participate – Courtyard 1/2
