Since its debut, WantedDesign always had the great ambition to build a unique design destination, where business meets culture. For that reason, its programs were always curated and developed having in mind that anyone in the design community could become involved and learn, meet, discuss, debate.

WantedDesign Brooklyn opening hours:

The Opening Celebration will be on Wednesday May 16, it is an invitation-only event.

Biodesign: Grow Your own Mycelium Lamp

Join Genspace and WantedDesign for this workshop during NYCxDESIGN. Mycelium (the roots of mushrooms) may very well be one of the most adaptable and resilient organisms on the planet. The largest organism on the terrestrial planet, mycelium is nature’s recycler and communication network. Come explore this fascinating fungi with us. You will grow your own lampshade using mycelium and walk away with a unique functional table lamp to bring into your home or office. Kids’ Crafternoon with Project Kid!
Join author and craft expert Amanda Kingloff in the Mathy By Bols Kids’ Room. Bring your kiddos to craft with Amanda and take home something that your kids will love to make and keep. Amanda’s work has been featured in various publications from Parents Magazine to the New York Times, and she posts fresh craft ideas weekly on her site Project Kid.

Sustainable materials – 
A materialistic afternoon facilitated by Hyloh.
Spend an afternoon with material people as we explore the burgeoning bio-fabrication movement through a sustainable and sensorial lens.
