Program
Throughout the years, WantedDesign has become more than a tradeshow, but a hub for conversations, a gathering of international actors, and a community: brands, designers, editors, curators, design lovers and schools altogether for a celebration of the design ethos.
Even more, WantedDesign has created innovative tools to facilitate business opportunities, at each level of the design chain. Multiple success stories were born there; underlining that WantedDesign has carved a new type of tradeshow, one that fits hand-in-hand with New York’s creative vibe.

Yet architects and designers in the U.S. and around the globe continue to design and build with endangered woods in their projects, often because they don’t even realize it. Design historian and materials specialist, Grace Jeffers, will take you through the current state of endangered woods and forests. She will provide information on endangered woods, tips for how to insure the woods you use are properly sourced, as well as sustainable options for achieving sought after exotic wood looks. You’ll leave understanding the importance of this issue and how the A&D community can help. This presentation is accredited. Earn one (1) continuing education unit by attending this talk.
