Violaine d’Harcourt

Project The Lampione family is composed of 3 members : Lampione I, II and III, from the taller to the smaller. The basic idea was to adapt the street lights, and their magic aura, to our interiors. They are an ode to incandescent bulbs, to the beauty of their filament that interacts with the glass surface. Every piece is handcrafted and made by a glass blower, a wood turner, a metal company and the designer. It is also composed of concrete (Lampione I and II) or leather/fabric (Lampione III). Glass pieces exist in 10 colors, and wood in 5 wood types. Each piece is numbered and signed.

Studio Violaine d’Harcourt is a young French designer based in Paris. She studied in l’Ecole Camondo in Paris and la Scuola Politecnica in Milan. Work experiences at Jacopo Foggini’s studio in Milan, then in Federico Churba’s in Buenos Aires taught her the importance of learning by doing. When she got back to Paris, she started to give real life to her own drawings. She presented her first collection last June during the Designer’s Days in Paris, then during the Paris Design week.
