Project Inspired by the pragmatic nature of nomadic cultures, the Tabla series explores subtle playfulness through simple forms and encouraged interaction. The customizable coffee table and end table are designed to work well in space-constrained settings and move easily, offering intuitive assembly and storage below the table’s removable surface. Steel, spun aluminum, with walnut, ash or cork.

Studio Scott Jones is a Washington DC-based furniture and product designer. Believing that design is successful communication, Scott combines playful curiosity with a research-driven approach to inform his designs. His work has been featured in numerous print and digital publications, and he debuted his Bloc’d Sofa at WantedDesign in 2013. Scott received a Masters of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, and is an adjunct design professor at George Washington University.
