Vitruvio Speaker ( designed in collaboration with Juan Soriano Blanco)
The diffuser “Vitruvio” is a project characterized by simple and geometric shapes: in a structure with the shape of cube is “suspended” a sphere, which is connected to the external structure through rubber thread along the diagonal. The sphere represents the speaker with two audio channels (high and low), which, when connected to any device (stereo, ipod, iphone, etc.), is able to transmit the sound, so the ball can move, because of the sound waves , giving a visual impression of the “movement” of sound. The name “Vitruvio” comes from the shape, which resembles the fundamental principles of geometry and proportions, such as drawing the Vitruvian Man. The external structure can be made of solid wood or metal, and the ball can be made of metal or ceramic.

Tapio vases
These vases follow my personal research on glass. Two of the most famous traditions in glass working are in Finland and in Italy, so this family of vases wants to be a homage to the work of the master Tapio Wirkkala together with the work of italian glass blowers. Wirkkala himself did a collection for the italian manufacturer Venini: this was my inspiration so I tried to do a collection of vases with simple, archetypal shapes, but giving a modern taste “exaggerating” the heads and emphasizing with colors like metals.

Oscar Desk
First the material: solid wood and soft leather, at the same time. Then the inspiration: on one hand the desk pad which always land on the surface of desks to protect it, on the other hand the typical architects’ work tables (“Oscar N.”, hence the name of the desk, was one of them!) always cluttered with papers and pencils. So came “Oscar”, this desk, which combines intentionally a substrate made in leather, with soft curves divided into three different sizes, to a minimal wooden structure: informal pockets for storing drawings, notes, journals or, for the less traditionalists, their tablet. Dimensions: 140x 60 cm x75h Manufacturer: Valsecchi1918 (www.valsecchi1918.it)
