Token
TOKEN will debut a curated selection of its upcoming collection at WantedDesign. In addition to new pieces, TOKEN will unveil its newly redesigned website during New York’s Design Week, which will offer a fresh look at its full collection.
Known for its distinctive seating, TOKEN will release a number of sideboards, credenzas and side tables, each of which incorporates its signature marquetry and patterning elements. At WANTED Design’s event, TOKEN will showcase its Stella Cabinet, created with inlaid ash and ebonized oak highlighted with steel hardware designed and crafted in-house by Will Kavesh, principle and owner. In addition to this credenza, TOKEN will show its Maple Side Table, the perfect addition to a stylish living space or bedroom. Each piece is designed and created in Brooklyn, NY by skilled and dedicated craftspeople.
“This is really the first time since Hurrican Sandy hit that we’ve been able to pull together such a comprehensive collection and redesign. I’ve been able to take a step back and really focus on developing designs that fit within our brand and that reflect how my design sense has grown, changed and matured since beginning TOKEN eight years ago,” said Will Kavesh, owner and designer. “I mean, our shop and office teams have really worked together to pull this off.”
TOKEN is a New York-based design studio that merges contemporary art and industrial design. Each of TOKEN’s signature pieces reimagines standard materials and brings their inherent hidden qualities forward. Integrating visual composition, inventive fabrication and sense of space, the collection stands out as engaging, engineered objects.
