OFFCENTRE
Off-center, in glassblowing vocabulary, refers to a shape that is displaced from its axis and is considered a fault that needs an immediate solution.
OFFCENTRE is a New York based design company co-founded by Edison Zapata and Romina Gonzales that applies deconstructive methodologies to produce a line of lighting and functional glasswares. Gonzales and Zapata co-design and create their cutting-edge artwork as a seamless artistic duo by exploiting and circumventing traditional glassmaking processes. Their instinctive and raw methods produce a playful and innovative flavor questioning current contemporary trends.
