Detroit Made
The Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3) initiative, Detroit Made, aims to bring a diverse collection of products designed and made in Detroit to WantedDesign. Focused on representing Detroit’s unique design aesthetic, DC3 collaborated with local maker Detroit Wallpaper Co. to curate a display that reflects Detroit’s rich legacy of design and manufacturing.
The Detroit Made display will showcase a diverse collection of products from local designers and makers, and highlight Detroit as a global center for design and innovation. Detroit Made will present Adora Bella Ceramics, Alex Drew & No One, Adam Shirley, Detroit Wallpaper Co., Jose Reguiero, Kem3D, Leadhead Glass, Pewabic, Quetarshe, Richard Bennett, Smith Shop, and The Floyd Leg.
Smith Shop
The DC3 is an economic development organization with a targeted purpose: providing support to Detroit’s creative industries in the form of resources, exposure, and advocacy in order to grow Detroit’s creative economy and recognize Detroit as a global center for design.
Adora Bella Ceramics
The DC3 is working to build density in the Creative Corridor and provide exposure for Detroit’s creative industries. To that end, we help grow Detroit’s creative economy through business acceleration services for creative firms and independent practitioners. We celebrate Detroit’s creative talent and innovation, and we advocate at a local, state, and international level for recognition of our city as a global center for design.
Kem3D
Home to leading design-driven industries, world-class educational facilities and the country’s highest concentrations of industrial and commercial designers, Detroit is amongst North America’s leading design cities. DC3 programs the annual Detroit Design Festival that takes place every September. With over 500 designers, 25,000 attendees and 30 Design Happenings, the DDF is a celebration of Detroit’s role as a leading international design metropolis.
