Michael Yates

Austin based designer Michael Yates has been producing custom, production, and limited-edition furniture and objects since 2003. With a portfolio including furniture, exhibition spaces, restaurants, and one casket, this engineer-turned-woodworker’s studio has earned a reputation as one of the most sought-after of the region. From their production line of goods, the Giacomo Rocker – first showcased at WantedDesign 2013 – was honored last year as one of only a handful of winners in the furniture category of Core77’s Design Awards, and exciting new work will be presented in the Tunnel again this year.
