Bernhardt Design

In an age where there is an app for everything, individual creativity and initiative can be buried under an avalanche of electronic noise. Our digital interfaces not only change how we consume information, but also how we design. With ever-expanding technological power, designers can achieve results that were impossible just a few years ago. Algorithms and fractal geometry can even design for us as we sleep. These new possibilities are innovative and efficient, but can also seem rather hollow. As the act of creating becomes more mechanical, are we forgetting about the stroke of genius, the surprise breakthrough, the “aha” moment?

At WantedDesign, Bernhardt Textiles presents “Human Touch” to explore the inspiring possibilities of human creation. From the act of hand-painting a beautifully imperfect line or a surprise discovery from a simple daily ritual, the world around us can be more inspiring than the parameters of a computer program.
