Inventor and designer, Azambourg combines beauty with the technique of craftsmanship, the true art of applied arts. He is oriented towards simplicity and lightness, pushing himself into the realm of objects to go against common trends. The search for lightness and economy of materials and production processes remains a consistent theme throughout Azambourg designs. From metal-foam chairs to frothy vertical explosions of optical fibers, his work, blurring borders between the delicate and industrial, has resulted in several patents and numerous prizes.
Today François Azambourg has decided to launch his own collection, the result of over 25 years of research and experimentation, challenging the frontier between aesthetics, structure, materials, and technique. This collection includes 20 objects, as diverse as the Mobile Feuilles made of real leaves hanging from piano strings, the Inga Lamp carved and turned from one wood block, the Very Nice chair with a wood structure and copper cover, or the Chauffeuse Bois-Mousse a lounge chair made of wood and foam.
