Announcing the Fifth Annual Launch Pad at WantedDesign Manhattan in 2018
2018 marks the 5th anniversary of the Launch Pad at WantedDesign Manhattan. We’re looking for emerging design talent in the fields of furniture and lighting to participate in the 2018 Launch Pad, May 19-22. A jury of industry professionals will review the presentations and a Best of Launch Pad prize will be awarded. The Launch Pad is the perfect way for up-and-coming designers and small design brands seeking manufacturing and distribution partners to participate in NYCxDESIGN, the city’s celebration of global design. Launch Pad 2017, presented with Design Milk and Design Within Reach
Celebrating its fourth edition at WantedDesign, the Launch Pad offers an ideal ignition point between designers and potential manufacturers, retailers and distributors seeking the latest in cutting-edge design. This year’s selection will feature two categories, one showcasing lighting design and the other furniture and accessories. Each category will feature international design studios and independent designers, for a total of 35 participants. Launch Pad is once again presented with Design Milk and Design Within Reach, both sponsors will also form part of the judging panel. A top prize per category will be awarded to the standout product that meets the highest levels of quality and design. Beyond the selection process and the “Best of Launch Pad” competition is the opportunity to collaborate, share and create a thriving ecosystem where designers, makers and visionaries can connect.
