September 2015, Seattle, Detroit and London
After a summer filled with inspiring visits and discoveries, we are planning September with a few events in exciting and creative cities: our first stop will be Seattle. We will be co-hosting an event on September 18th, with Design Within Reach at their Seattle studio, with Be Original Americas and Gray magazine; We will then head to Detroit Design Festival, exploring the city’s rich legacy of creativity, design and innovation.
We look forward to discovering the design scenes of those two bubbling cities.
We will fly then to London for the Design Festival, specially pleased to visit our new event partners Tent London and Super Brands.

September 18th, Design Within Reach Seattle
DWR, Be Original Americas and WantedDesign are proud to present a panel discussion on the importance of original design, led by GRAY editorial director Jaime Gillin. Speaking about the value of authenticity will be five industry stars: Gregg Buchbinder, president and CEO of Emeco; Atlanta-based designer Chris Hardy; and the talented trio behind Brooklyn-based Egg Collective. The panelists will discuss their personal design ethos, how to build a sustainable design career, what “original design” really means to them and how knockoffs affect independent designers and the design industry as a whole. September 22nd, Detroit Design Festival
Detroit Design Festival (September 22-26) is the North America’s festival of independent design. With over 500 designers, 25,000 attendees and 30 Design Happenings, the DDF is a great time to discover and celebrate Detroit’s role as a global center of design and creativity. Concentrated in Detroit’s Creative Corridor and various neighborhoods throughout the city, events and installations will showcase Detroit’s cutting-edge design with the rest of the world.
We are honored to participate to a panel discussion, part of the Industry Days program organized by the Detroit Creative Corridor Center, on Tuesday, September 22, at 2pm, discussing about the role and impact of the design fairs. Join us, if you have a chance to be in Detroit.

September 24-27, Tent London and Super Brands at London Design Festival
Tent London is the show for original thinkers and early adopters looking to discover the best in contemporary design. Brands and institutions such as Etsy, Dulux and the Design Museum will use Tent London as a platform to tell their design stories through talks, installation and showcases. Over 440 diverse and inspiring independent designers, global brands and installations from 29 countries will launch thousands of new furniture, lighting, interiors products and ideas over the 4-day event.
