Our picks from Design Week Mexico 2019
As always, going to Mexico City was a treat. This year, Design Week Mexico was a one-month event, but being there for the Inédito jury allowed us to see lots of things on view at that time.
Inédito is the program curated by Andrea Cesarman, the co-founder of Design Week Mexico and Mexico Territorio Creativo. The selection of studios presenting prototypes was beautifully exhibited at Espacio in Chapultepec Park. The 2019 Award went to “EQUILIBRIO,” by La Tlapaleria, a student collective project from Tec de Monterrey. It was unanimous that this project combines lots of creativity, original concept and design language, interactivity and playfulness, as well as appealing to everyone. Big congrats to them!
Browse our photo album to discover our favorites from Inédito but also picks from other Design Week Mexico features like Design House or Proyecto Tamayo, Visión & Tradición at the The National Museum of Anthropology, as well as the outstanding Studio Nouvel exhibit at the Museo Franz Mayer.
