Paweł Grobelny

Paweł Grobelny is a designer and curator of design exhibitions. He designs furniture, street furniture, interiors and installations for public spaces. He has presented his works at numerous design festivals and trade shows, such as the Design Biennale in Saint-Etienne, Design Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Vienna Design Week and Paris Design Week. Currently he is working on a Phd thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw – Faculty of Design (www.pawelgrobelny.com)

Table IN-QUARTO comes in two finishing versions – with table top of the natural American walnut or in different types of marble. The simple design is based on the aluminum tube and a removable table top. The ability to exchange a round table top gives the possibility to change the nature of furniture in a simply and fast way.

Table SUR LE FIL, a series of coffee tables with minimalist and graphic lines. Sur le fil consists of a steel structure on which is inserted a solid walnut table top. The three machined grooves allow you to change the position, to modify the effects and vary pleasures. Available in 6 different formats, the Sur le fil coffee table is a real balancing act thanks to a thorough reflection on the properties of the materials in use. The balance is the result of these properties. The thickness, the precision of the grooving and the hardness of the two materials allow to place the table top on the very edge, which gives the visual impression that it is hanging by a thread, even though it is very stable.
