Brooklyn SLaB

Brooklyn SLaB is a custom furniture and fabrication studio located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Founded in 2013 by designer and woodworker Shannon L. Bowser, BK SLaB specializes in one-of-a-kind accent furniture and accessories designed to complement a contemporary urban lifestyle. Shannon’s products blend compact multi functionality with modernist design and incorporate choice hardwoods, reclaimed wood, figured veneers, intricate surface detailing, exposed plywood, metalwork, and meticulous joinery. The result is a unique combination of contemporary rustic modernism and traditional 18th Century craftsmanship that distinguishes her line of tables, desks, and accessories.

With a background in sculpture and fine arts, Shannon formed Brooklyn SLaB to pursue her passion for fine woodworking, and to translate her artistic vocabulary into functional design. She has 20 years of experience working with clients to design and fabricate their custom projects, and she welcomes custom orders.
