Diesel Living, four brands, one style

The Diesel lifestyle is built on passion, creativity and strong personality. Using the brand’s ironic and unexpected approach to design, the home collection reflects every aspect of the Diesel philosophy. Rough materials, contrasting shapes and textural treatments are part of the brand’s heritage.

Initially launched in 2009, the furniture collection was an organic evolution from the Diesel fashion experience, the home collection continued to grow year after year adopting important partnerships with leading players in the interior design field: Moroso for furniture, Foscarini for lighting and Scavolini for the new Diesel Social Kitchen, Seletti for accessories and tabletop. The collection as a whole is an ideal pairing of Diesel style and attitude with each specialty partners’ industry know-how and top quality design capabilities.

Andrea Rosso, Creative Director of Diesel Licenses says, “Diesel is a lifestyle brand – consumers choose us not only for the product but also for what Diesel represents; the way of life, our values, the ironic, creative and unexpected approach. We decided to enter the design world to offer to our consumers the possibility to express themselves not just through clothes but also personalizing their home with products that they feel close to their taste.” More

For WantedDesign 2015, Diesel Living brought forward the concept of “a big family under the same roof”. The collection featured new lighting products with Foscarini, furniture with Moroso, home accessories line with Seletti and kitchen with Scavolini. The installation comes to life through four thematic areas, boldly influenced by core Diesel values: Nightlife, Make Love not War, Urban Blue and Poplife represent the rock, denim and casual attitude of the brand.

For the first time in the U.S. , the Diesel team and the 4 brands collaborated with WantedDesign to recreate a loft style space at WantedDesign Manhattan in the Terminal Stores building. The visitors were invited to discover and to experiment the all Diesel lifestyle. See more photos here.

“WantedDesign was the only place in New York where we could recreate what that lifestyle looks like, and have people say ‘This is the loft I have always dreamed about”. That was what we wanted to do, and what we could do at WantedDesign for Diesel Living: seeing it all, experiencing it all, living it, talking about it, and just doing it right, the way you’d want to do it at home’ commented Mirko van den Winkel, EVP Moroso USA. Moroso’s ongoing Diesel collection, first launched in 2009, brings to home furnishings what the renowned brand, Diesel, has brought to fashion: an informal, youthful lifestyle, inspired by edgy music, a creative spirit, and a need to express one’s individuality. Diesel has teamed up with the cutting edge Italian furniture maker, Moroso, to produce sofas, tables, chairs, beds and accessories.
Says Patrizia Moroso, creative director of her namesake brand, “We worked with the Diesel creative team to develop an interesting and alternative collection idea which was to represent two different yet coexisting aspects of certain contemporary trends: one which is darker in tone, inspired by the underground world and with a more aggressive and enigmatic aesthetic, and the other lighter, inspired by nature and a visual radiance, with soft and welcoming shapes.” www.moroso.it
